Pune: A tragic accident took place near Katraj Dairy on Monday (24th) at around 3 PM when a speeding ambulance traveling from Katraj to Swargate collided with a two-wheeler, resulting in the rider’s death. The deceased has been identified as Pandurang Vaman Pandhere (48), a resident of Jambhulwadi Road, Dattanagar, Ambegaon. Following the incident, a case has been registered against the ambulance driver.
According to police reports, Pandhere was returning home from work when the speeding ambulance, driven recklessly and in violation of traffic rules, crashed into his two-wheeler. The impact of the collision caused severe injuries to him, leaving him critically wounded on the spot.
He was immediately rushed to a private hospital for urgent medical attention. However, despite receiving treatment, he succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have initiated further investigation into the case.
