Pune: A 45-year-old two-wheeler rider was left seriously injured after a speeding car rammed into him near the Punawale underpass in the early hours of June 9.
The injured rider has been identified as Sachin Pandurang Lohar, a resident of Pun. According to police reports, Lohar was on his Unicorn motorcycle around 1 a.m. when a car driven recklessly by Hemant Subhash Dhage, a resident of Chakrapani Vasahat in Bhosari, crashed into him.
Lohar sustained serious injuries to his nose, eye, and knee, and his motorcycle was severely damaged. Following a complaint lodged by Lohar’s wife at Ravet Police Station on Saturday, police have registered a case against Dhage.
Ravet police are currently conducting further investigation into the incident.
