Pune : The schedule released by the State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has caused significant concern among students and parents, potentially jeopardizing the academic future of thousands. The CET exam for the five-year LLB course was initially set for April 4, which coincided with the CBSE Class XII psychology paper on the same day. This overlap led to widespread confusion and anxiety, prompting numerous complaints from students and parents through social media and email.
The CBSE Class XII exams for four subjects—History, Language, Home Science, and Psychology—are scheduled to take place consecutively from April 1 to April 4. With a large number of CBSE students in the state also appearing for the CET, many expressed their concerns about the clash in exam dates and urged the CET Cell to reconsider its schedule.
In response to these concerns, State CET Cell Commissioner Dilip Sardesai assured that the CET Cell had taken note of the situation. He stated, “We always strive to ensure that students do not face additional stress during the examination period. The probable schedule will be revised, and new dates will be announced soon, keeping students’ well-being in mind.”
The revised CET exam dates will provide students with adequate time to prepare, particularly in light of the clash between the CBSE psychology exam and the CET for the five-year LLB course. The updated schedule is expected to be released shortly.
