Pimpri Chinchwad: To enhance road conditions, the Pune Division of Central Railway has announced temporary closures of several level crossing gates along the Chinchwad-Khadki section for vital asphalting work. These closures will take place over three consecutive days, and commuters are advised to plan alternative routes to minimize any disruptions.
Level Crossing Gate No. 62/A (Khadki-Chinchwad)
On March 13, 2025, Level Crossing Gate No. 62/A (Km 183/4-5 UP & DN Road) will be closed from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Traffic will be redirected via a nearby Road Under Bridge (RUB) and Road Over Bridge (ROB), approximately 500 meters away from the crossing.
Level Crossing Gate No. 62/AA (Chinchwad-Khadki)
On March 14, 2025, Level Crossing Gate No. 62/AA (Km 184/5-6 UP & DN Road) will be closed from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. During this time, vehicles will be diverted via a nearby Road Under Bridge (RUB) near Dapodi, around 270 meters from the crossing.
Level Crossing Gate No. 60 (Khadki-Chinchwad)
On March 15, 2025, Level Crossing Gate No. 60 (Km 178/6-7 UP & DN Road) will be closed from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Traffic will be rerouted through the Pimpri station RUB and ROB, which is approximately 1,000 meters away.
The public is requested to take note of these temporary closures and use the alternative routes indicated. While the closures may cause short-term inconvenience, they are essential for improving road infrastructure and ensuring smoother traffic flow in the future.
