Pimpri Chinchwad: Three people, who had left their homes in Pimpri to go to their village for Moharram, were robbed by three thieves in broad daylight in front of the Pimpri Traffic Police Chowki. The incident occurred around 3 PM on Friday, the 20th.
Dinesh Balu Mandpe (age 33, resident of Sai Apartment, Pimpri), Santosh Ramkampa (age 30, resident of Chhatrapati Shahu Housing Society, Pimpri), and Prabuddha Suresh Rokade (age 23, resident of Adarsh Nagar, Pimpri) have been named as the accused who have been arrested. Mohammad Shahnawaz Aflaf Alam (age 23, resident of Gandhinagar, Pimpri) lodged a complaint at Sant Tukaram Nagar Police Station.
According to police reports, around 3 PM on Friday afternoon, three thieves who arrived on a two-wheeler pretended to check the Aadhaar card, then snatched money from the complainant’s pocket, abused and assaulted him, and fled the scene. A case has been registered at the Sant Tukaram Nagar Police Station, and Police Sub-Inspector Jinendi is conducting further investigation.
