Pune : Former Member of Parliament Sanjay Kakade’s wife, Usha Kakade, reportedly attempted suicide by consuming an overdose of sleeping pills between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. She was promptly admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune, where her condition is currently critical. The incident is believed to have stemmed from familial disputes.
Usha Kakade is a prominent entrepreneur and social worker, known for her significant contributions through the Gravittus Foundation, which focuses on women’s and children’s welfare. She has been instrumental in initiatives against child sexual abuse, notably the ‘Good Touch Bad Touch’ program, and has honored outstanding women nationwide with the ‘Urja’ awards. Recently, she ventured into film production with projects like ‘Vicky: Full of Love’ and ‘Punha Duniyadari’.
This incident has raised concerns among her associates and the communities she has impacted through her philanthropic endeavors.
