Pune: Police have booked a woman for allegedly running a gambling racket in the Chikhali area. The incident took place on Saturday (21st) at around 12 noon near Visava Chowk, where she was caught accepting money from people on the roadside.
According to police reports, Constable Santosh Bhor lodged a complaint at Chikhali Police Station, after which a case was registered against the accused, who resides in Chakrapani Vasahat. Police seized gambling materials and ₹1,060 in cash from the scene.
Chikhali police are currently investigating the matter further.
