Pune: The Women Safety Seminar PRAYAAS initiative organized special awareness sessions in several women’s colleges in Pune on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The Women Safety Seminar PRAYAAS program focused on educating students about women’s safety and road safety through interactive sessions and expert guidance.
During the Women Safety Seminar PRAYAAS, speakers Shruti Jagtap and Mrunmayee Gaware introduced the PRAYAAS initiative and shared practical insights on women’s safety in public spaces. They emphasized awareness, preparedness and responsible behavior as essential elements of personal safety.
Meanwhile, the Women Safety Seminar PRAYAAS sessions also highlighted road safety awareness among youth. Students received detailed guidance on the importance of wearing helmets, following traffic rules, maintaining valid driving licenses and practicing safe driving habits. As a result, the seminar created strong awareness about responsible road behavior among students.
The Women Safety Seminar PRAYAAS initiative was jointly organized by Jagmangal Social Foundation, Swayamtej Academy and IDTPR Pune. Additionally, the Pune Traffic Police and the Regional Transport Office (RTO) Pune extended their support to the awareness program.
The initiative was conducted in several institutions including HHCP Huzurpaga and MKSSS Siddhivinayak Women’s College. The event was attended by SSVM College Principal Prof. Dr. Preeti Pohekar, Nodal Officer Prof. Vikrant Devidas Palatshaha, Prof. Dr. Smita Pande and Nodal Officer Jyoti Mane.
Furthermore, SSVM PRAYAAS Safety Club coordinator Mahika Inamdar and her team, along with Huzurpaga Safety Club coordinator Shravani Patil and her team, participated in the program. Team PRAYAAS members Soham Pawar, Siddhi Salekar and Manish Mishra were also present, while PRAYAAS Lead Mitesh Gujarathi attended as a key participant.
Finally, students actively participated in discussions, asked questions and pledged to follow safety rules in their daily lives.
