Pune: A young man was brutally beaten due to a family dispute in Wanwadi. In connection with this incident, the Mundhwa police have registered an attempt to murder case against four individuals.
The victim, who sustained serious injuries, has been identified as Mahendra Anil Kawade (age 36, resident of Ganga Queen Society, Ghorpadi). Kawade has filed a complaint at the Mundhwa police station, based on which an attempt to murder case has been registered against Manoj Gaikwad and three others.
According to police reports, Kawade and the accused Gaikwad are relatives and had an ongoing family dispute. On February 13, at around 5:30 PM, Gaikwad and his accomplices intercepted Kawade at Shitaladevi Temple Chowk in Wanwadi. The accused brutally assaulted Kawade with punches and kicks and also attacked him on the head with a hard object. Due to this attack, Kawade sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the hospital for treatment. After recovering, he recently lodged a complaint with the police. Following the complaint, the police registered an attempt to murder case against Gaikwad and the other three accused.
Police Sub-Inspector Bhimrao Manjare is investigating the case.
