Pune: In Pashan, a young woman was injured when a large tree toppled on her due to heavy rainfall. The incident occurred near the Nishigandha building in Panchvati, trapping a car and a two-wheeler beneath the fallen tree as well.
The injured woman, Kajal, aged 22 and a student at C-DAC, was found beneath the tree and immediately rushed to Saishri Hospital in Aundh for medical treatment.
Fire brigade personnel from the Pashan Fire Station, led by Officer Shivaji Memane along with firefighters Shashikant Dhanvate, Chandrakant Burud, Devidas Chaudhary, Shubham Karande, and Lukman Kamalkhan, responded swiftly to the emergency, clearing the area and arranging ambulance assistance.
Authorities have urged residents to stay cautious as heavy rains continue in the area.
