Pune: A young man was brutally attacked in Khed taluka when he sought the return of Rs 85,000 that had been taken from him under false pretenses. The assault occurred around 10 PM on Monday, the 17th, in Bhose, a locality in Khed taluka. The suspects in the case have been identified as Raju alias Ayub Babban Sheikh and Rizwan Ayub Sheikh, both of whom reside in Bhose.
Police reports indicate that the two men had earlier swindled the money from the victim, 23-year-old Abhishek Hemant Lendghar, a resident of Chakan. When Abhishek demanded his money back, instead of resolving the matter, the accused turned violent and assaulted him.
Abhishek subsequently lodged a formal complaint with the Chakan police station. Authorities have now launched an investigation into the incident, and police are working to gather further details to hold the accused accountable.
