ACP Sunil Tambe to Receive President of India Police Medal for Meritorious Servic

Pune : In a significant achievement for the Maharashtra Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Sunil Tambe has been selected to receive the prestigious “President of India Police Medal” for meritorious service. The honor will be conferred on the eve of Republic Day, January 26, 2025.
ACP Tambe’s illustrious career spans 36 years, beginning in 1989 when he joined as a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) in Mumbai. Over the years, he has served in various locations, including Mumbai, Satara, Pune (Rural), Aurangabad, and Pune city, as well as in the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) across Mumbai, Pune, and Aurangabad.
His work has earned him a reputation for dedication and professionalism, particularly in the investigation of high-profile and complex cases.

ACP Tambe will be among 11 officers from the Maharashtra Police to receive the President of India Police Medal this year. His contributions, particularly in the fields of anti-terrorism, narcotics, and criminal investigation, have set benchmarks for excellence in policing.
