Mumbai: Political troubles have further escalated for Dhananjay Munde, as he has been found guilty in a domestic violence case. The family court has partially accepted the allegations made by Karuna Sharma against him. The court has ordered Munde to pay a monthly alimony of ₹2 lakh.
Social activist Anjali Damania shared this information via Twitter, congratulating Karuna Munde for winning the case on February 4. “As a woman, I congratulate Karuna Munde for winning her case in the family court. I do not speak on personal matters, and please note that this is not a personal attack. Karuna is the first wife of Dhananjay Munde. She was subjected to abuse, and the court has directed that maintenance be provided and that no further harm be caused. The court has also ordered a monthly payment of ₹1,25,000,” Damania posted.
Following the court’s decision, Karuna Sharma Munde spoke to the media. “I have received justice from the court, and I am grateful to the court and the judges. There was a demand for ₹5 lakh each for the three of us, as my children are with me. However, I have been awarded ₹2 lakh. I will be approaching the High Court for my full demand,” Karuna Sharma said.
