Pune: A minor dispute over asking to move a vehicle escalated into a violent clash between two groups in the Meenatai Thackeray Colony of Gultekdi. Two separate cases of attempted murder have been registered against both groups. Three people were injured in the altercation, and two individuals have been arrested. Police are currently searching for the absconding accused.

Keshav Anil Shivsharan (20), a resident of Meenatai Thackeray Colony in Gultekdi, lodged a complaint at the Swargate Police Station. Based on his complaint, a case has been registered against Rohit Singh, Darshan Sutar, Sanket, and five to six others. Shivsharan, along with Rahul Dhone and Akshay Kamble, sustained injuries in the attack. Rohit Singh has been arrested in connection with the case. Police have revealed that Singh has a criminal record with previous offenses registered against him.

According to police reports, both the complainant, Shivsharan, and the accused reside in the Meenatai Thackeray Colony. On Friday, March 14, Shivsharan asked Singh to move his two-wheeler, which led to an argument. Later, Singh, Sutar, and their associates brandished machetes and bamboo sticks, creating an atmosphere of terror. The accused attacked Shivsharan, Dhone, and Kamble, resulting in injuries to all three. Assistant Police Inspector Rahul Kolambikar is investigating the case.

The accused have also filed a counter-complaint. Rohit Singh (28), a resident of Meenatai Thackeray Colony, filed a complaint against Abhay Shekhapure, Sachin Khude, Sagar Kadam, Santosh Kamble, and seven to eight others. In this case, Sagar Kadam has been arrested.

According to Singh’s complaint, Darshan Sutar and Sandesh Meshram sustained injuries in the assault. Singh alleged that the accused confronted him, questioning why he was associating with Sachin Mane. The group then attacked him with bamboo sticks and stone slabs. Singh also stated that during the assault, his nephew Darshan Sutar and Sandesh Meshram arrived at the scene but were also attacked by the accused.
