Pune: A disturbing incident at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has led to widespread outrage after a university employee was allegedly caught engaging in an obscene act while watching female students on campus. When the victims reported the matter to university authorities, they were allegedly scolded by the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar instead of receiving support.
In response to the administration’s inaction, 30 to 40 female students have initiated a sit-in protest, demanding strict action against the accused and accountability from university officials. The students have also called for a thorough investigation and stronger security measures, criticizing the delayed response from the institution.
