Investors will get an extended weekend as the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) will remain closed on Monday, March 31, 2025, in observance of Eid al-Fitr. Trading across equities, derivatives, and other segments will be suspended for the entire day.
Meanwhile, the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) will have a partial closure. The morning session, running from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., will remain shut, but trading will resume in the evening session between 5:00 p.m. and 11:00/11:30 p.m.

Eid al-Fitr will be the second market holiday in March, following the closure for Holi on March 14. In April 2025, trading will be halted on the following dates:

April 14 – Ambedkar Jayanti
April 18 – Good Friday
