Pune: A distressing incident has surfaced in Pune, where a man, unable to have children with his wife for four years, decided to remarry and bring another woman into his home. A case has been registered against the husband, along with his in-laws, at the Vimantal Police Station.
The accused in this case include Praveen Kumar Samuel Golpalli (33), his mother-in-law Jayamma Samuel Golpalli (50), and father-in-law Samuel Obeyya Golpalli (54), all residents of Balaji Niwas in Manjri. A complaint was lodged by a 33-year-old woman, who had been married to Praveen Kumar. The incident reportedly occurred between 2021 and March 13, 2021.
According to the police, the complainant had married Praveen Kumar in 2021. The couple struggled with infertility, which led to increasing pressure from the woman’s family. Praveen Kumar allegedly subjected his wife to mental, physical, and financial abuse, all in an effort to gain control over her father’s property. Despite being married to the complainant, Praveen Kumar remarried another woman and brought her to live in the same home. The investigation is currently being led by Police Sub-Inspector Navnath Kshirsagar.
