Lonavala: Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Raosaheb Danve’s car was involved in a road accident on Wednesday at Jaychand Chowk in Lonavala. A speeding two-wheeler rammed into Danve’s Maruti Ertiga vehicle while he was visiting the local market area for official work. Fortunately, no one sustained any injuries in the incident.
Eyewitnesses said that the two-wheeler rider, instead of accepting fault, started arguing aggressively with Raosaheb Danve, not realizing initially who he was speaking to. The situation grew tense as bystanders gathered around.
However, local auto-rickshaw drivers intervened and played a crucial role in calming both parties and resolving the argument amicably before it escalated. The two-wheeler was significantly damaged in the crash, while Danve’s car suffered minor dents.
Danve, who remained composed throughout the incident, did not file any police complaint. His presence in the area was part of his routine engagement with constituents and party workers.
This minor accident drew public attention due to Danve’s stature, but it was resolved without any legal complications, thanks to the timely mediation by locals.
