Pune: Maha Metro witnessed strong ridership in April 2025, generating ₹7.47 crore in revenue while transporting 46.59 lakh passengers across its operational corridors. The Aqua Line, running between Vanaz and Ramwadi, emerged as the top performer with ₹4.10 crore in revenue and 26.18 lakh passengers. Meanwhile, the Purple Line, connecting PCMC to Swargate, followed closely, contributing ₹3.41 crore through 20.40 lakh commuters.
These figures represent the second-highest monthly performance this year, just behind January 2025, when the metro system achieved ₹7.87 crore in earnings and served 49.64 lakh commuters. This consistent upward trend reflects the growing preference for Pune Metro as a fast, reliable, and environmentally sustainable transit choice.
Stations with the highest average daily footfall included PCMC with 18,000 riders, Swargate with 15,000, and Ramwadi, Mandai, and Pune Railway Station, each registering 13,000 daily users. As Pune Metro continues to expand and enhance its services, it plays an increasingly vital role in the city’s public transport infrastructure.
