New Delhi : Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday informed leaders of various political parties that at least 100 terrorists have been killed in the Indian military’s ongoing ‘Operation Sindoor’, which targeted terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

Chairing an all-party meeting in Parliament, Singh said that the operation is still underway and hence, a detailed presentation could not be shared at the moment. “India does not intend to escalate the situation, but if Pakistan initiates anything, we will not hesitate to respond,” he asserted.

The meeting was attended by several senior political leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi. Gandhi extended full support to the government and reiterated the Congress party’s demand for a special session of Parliament to discuss the issue in greater detail.

Kharge reportedly agreed that some aspects of the operation are sensitive and should not be discussed publicly at this stage.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi praised the armed forces and the government for the operation, and urged India to launch a global offensive against the ‘The Resistance Front (TRF)’, a Pakistan-backed terror outfit.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said all parties showed unity and maturity. “Everyone extended their support to the government. At a time like this, there’s no room for politics. Our politics is not just for forming governments, but for building the nation,” he said.

Following India’s precision strikes at nine key terror sites, tensions remain high across the border. However, within India, the operation has fostered a sense of national unity and resolve, with military sources confirming that terror groups are now in a state of fear and disarray.
