Beed: The Maratha community is currently calm, trusting the words of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. However, activist Manoj Jarange Patil has issued a stern warning, stating that if even one of the accused in the Beed murder case is released, the entire state will be brought to a standstill.
Jarange Patil emphasized that orchestrating a conspiracy is a far greater crime than murder or extortion. Addressing the Chief Minister, he said, “The Deshmukh family has approached your residence seeking justice. Do not take any stance that insults their pain. If even one accused is released, it will put the Deshmukh family’s life in danger. The Maratha community will not tolerate such an outcome.”
In connection to the murder of Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh, new evidence has surfaced against Valmik Karad, one of the accused. Allegations claim that on November 29, Karad demanded extortion from Awada Company and was later seen at Vishnu Chate’s office in Kej, accompanied by Sudarshan Ghule and Pratik Ghule. CCTV footage from the day confirms these claims.
Commenting on the evidence, Jarange Patil stated, “What more proof is needed? The accused in the murder and extortion cases are the same individuals. They must be charged under MCOCA, and a narco test should be conducted on all of them. Those who aided the accused after they went into hiding should also be charged as accomplices. The judiciary will deliver justice and punish the culprits. Such heinous criminals are a threat to the state.”
Urging CM Fadnavis to act decisively, Jarange Patil said, “If you protect gangs and those running such criminal operations, it will tarnish Maharashtra’s reputation. The Chief Minister must treat the Deshmukh family as his own. If any attempt is made to shield the accused, the people of Maharashtra will not remain silent. Seeking justice for Santosh Deshmukh does not make me casteist. If Minister Valmik Karad’s supporters are involved, they too should face consequences.”
