Pune: Ankush Chavan, an experienced officer of the Indian Information Service (IIS), has been appointed as the Public Relations Officer at the Southern Division of the Ministry of Defence in Pune. Chavan, who has been serving in various government departments for nearly 15 years, brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Chavan’s career includes key positions at prominent government organizations. He has previously worked at the Ministry of Home Affairs in New Delhi, the Directorate of Film Festivals, the Central Bureau of Communication, and Doordarshan in Mumbai.
Additionally, he has contributed to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting across several locations, including Nanded, Ratnagiri, Kolhapur, Solapur, and Goa.
Before his career in the Indian Information Service, Chavan was involved in the Jal Swarajya project under the Maharashtra State Water Supply and Sanitation Department. He worked as a project officer in Wardha and Ratnagiri. His role as the State Media Advisor in the Maharashtra State Health and Family Welfare Ministry further highlights his expertise in public relations.
A native of Solapur district, Ankush Chavan holds a postgraduate degree in Journalism and has made notable contributions to both media and public administration throughout his career.
