Pune: In a violent clash stemming from an old dispute, four individuals allegedly attacked three men with stones and physical assault at Triveninagar Chowk on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on June 4, leaving the victims seriously injured.
The accused have been identified as Sunil Mengade, Kapil Jadhav, Rishikesh, and Ashok Mengade. Full names and addresses of all the accused are yet to be confirmed. According to police sources, Sunil Mengade and Rishikesh have been arrested in connection with the case.
One of the injured victims, Balasaheb Babasaheb Khamkar (32), a resident of Talwade, lodged a formal complaint at Chikhali Police Station on Thursday, June 5.
As per the police report, the accused allegedly called the complainant and his two friends to Triveninagar Chowk, where they verbally abused them before launching a brutal attack using stones, punches, and kicks. All three victims sustained serious injuries in the assault.
Chikhali Police have registered a case and are conducting a detailed investigation into the matter.
