Pune: In a recent case of theft, a 57-year-old woman was robbed of her gold bangle while travelling on a PMPML bus. The incident occurred on Wednesday, June 18, between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM, during a commute from Katraj bus station to Yewalewadi.
The victim, identified as Nanda Ashok Sulakhe, a resident of Tilekar Nagar, filed a complaint at the Kondhwa Police Station. According to her statement, an unidentified person managed to steal a gold bangle worth approximately ₹70,000 from her hand during the bus ride.
Following the complaint, Kondhwa Police registered a case against the unknown accused. An investigation is currently underway, led by Police Sub-Inspector Kharade, who confirmed that efforts are being made to identify and apprehend the culprit.
Authorities have urged commuters to remain vigilant while travelling on public transport and report any suspicious activity immediately.
