Bollywood actor and former Miss India Celina Jaitly has issued an emotional public plea, revealing that her brother, Major Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, has been missing for 444 days after reportedly being abducted and detained in an undisclosed Middle Eastern location.

In a powerful statement shared on social media, Celina detailed the pain her family has endured since the officer was allegedly taken, kept incommunicado for months, and later held in detention abroad. She described the period as “1 year, 2 months, 17 days… 10,632 hours of fear and silence,” expressing deep concern over his health and injuries sustained during his service.

Jaitly questioned the growing pattern of Indian soldiers and veterans becoming targets overseas, warning that such incidents may pose a threat to national security. She urged the Indian government to take decisive action similar to the diplomatic efforts that secured the release of naval veterans in Qatar.

“This is not just personal anymore,” she said. “Our soldier deserves no less. No Indian soldier deserves less. Bring our soldier back.”

Celina reaffirmed her resolve to continue fighting for her brother’s safe return, invoking the words of her late father, Col. VK Jaitly (SM): “If you want to honour a soldier, be an Indian worth dying for.”

Her appeal has sparked widespread attention online, with supporters calling for urgent diplomatic intervention to bring Major Vikrant back to India.
