Pimpri Chinchwad News: In a disturbing incident, an unidentified man was brutally murdered with a sharp weapon early Sunday morning, February 2, around 8:30 a.m. in Patilnagar, Chikhli.
Police Sub-Inspector Sagar Subhash Devkar (35) has officially registered a case at the Chikhli Police Station against an unknown assailant after filing a formal complaint.
According to preliminary findings, the victim is estimated to be between 40 and 45 years old with a slim build. At the time of his discovery, he was dressed in a chocolate-colored shirt and gray pants, and a distinctive tattoo reading “Dhanashree” in Marathi was noted on his chest.
Investigators revealed that the assailant struck the victim’s head and neck with a sharp instrument, leading to his death. In a deliberate effort to obliterate evidence and mask the victim’s identity, the killer further disfigured his face and head.
Authorities are actively working to identify the deceased and track down the suspect. Further investigation into the case is ongoing.
