Pune: Chandrakant Patil, the Minister of Higher Education, Technical Education, and Parliamentary Affairs of Maharashtra, inspected the development work of the Bajirao Peshwa and Nana Saheb Peshwa memorials on Parvati Hill in Pune. During the inspection, he stated that the work on the memorial has progressed satisfactorily. He also mentioned that the inauguration of the first phase of development work will be conducted by Union Minister Rajnath Singh.
The development of the Bajirao Peshwa memorial and Nana Saheb Peshwa Museum on Parvati Hill will be carried out with funds from district planning, MLA funds, and public participation. The development work will include beautification of the area around the full-length statue of Bajirao Peshwa, along with the creation of murals depicting India’s glorious history and the era of the Peshwas.
