Mumbai: In a new development related to the Disha Salian case, her father, Satish Salian, has filed a petition in the Mumbai High Court, demanding an investigation into Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray’s role in the case. He claims that his daughter did not die by suicide but was murdered, and her death is linked to the suicide of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Satish Salian has alleged that Disha was raped and murdered, but the case was suppressed due to political pressure from Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) leader Kishori Pednekar. The petition, consisting of 250 pages, includes several shocking revelations and calls for a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe under the supervision of an honest officer like Sameer Wankhede.
The petition further claims that the Mumbai Police and former mayor Kishori Pednekar misled the investigation and pressured the family. Satish Salian has accused Pednekar of keeping him under house arrest and forcing him to accept false evidence during the probe.
The petition also names Aaditya Thackeray, Suraj Pancholi, and Dino Morea as individuals involved in the case. Additionally, it supports the allegations made by BJP leader Nitesh Rane and journalist Arnab Goswami regarding Disha’s death.
Meanwhile, Nitesh Rane has been actively demanding a thorough investigation into the case, insisting on questioning Aaditya Thackeray. The case has sparked fresh political debates, and the High Court is expected to review the petition soon.
