Pune: A major turning point has emerged in the Parth Pawar Pune land scam case with the arrest of Sheetal Tejwani, the prime accused in the alleged 40-acre land fraud in Mundhwa. The Pune Police Economic Offences Wing (EOW) took her into custody on Wednesday afternoon, marking a significant step in the ongoing investigation.

According to officials, Tejwani had been questioned several times over the past few weeks. During these sessions, investigators examined land documents, financial trails and agreements linked to the disputed property. After evaluating fresh information gathered during questioning, the EOW team arrested her around 3:30 pm.

The case has drawn unusual political attention because of its reported link to Parth Pawar, sparking intense discussion across Pune and state political circles. Some political groups have described the arrest as a long-awaited action, while others argue the timing raises questions of political pressure.

Police sources say the probe into the Parth Pawar Pune land scam is far from over. The EOW believes more individuals may have played a role in the alleged fraudulent land dealings, which reportedly involve forged papers and questionable financial transactions. Investigators are now scrutinising additional names, and further arrests cannot be ruled out.

The arrest has pushed the case back into the spotlight, especially as senior officers say the investigation will now accelerate. More disclosures and key developments are expected as the inquiry progresses.

With the Parth Pawar Pune land scam gaining renewed attention, all eyes remain on how wide the probe might expand and who else may face legal action in the coming days.
