Pune: A woman’s bag was stolen while traveling in a PMPML bus in the Vishrantwadi area, taking advantage of the crowded conditions. The stolen jewelry was valued at four lakh rupees.
The incident was reported by the woman at the Vishrantwadi police station, and a case has been filed against the thief.
According to the police, the woman was traveling in a PMPML bus from Swargate to Vishrantwadi. The bus was crowded, and taking advantage of the situation, the thief stole four lakh rupees worth of gold jewelry from the woman’s bag. The woman got off the bus near the Graff Center, a military institution on Alandi Road. It was only then that she realized her jewelry had been stolen from her bag. She later went to the police station and filed a complaint. Police Sub-Inspector Nitin Rathod is investigating the case.
