Pune: Pune District Collector Dr. Suhas Divase has been transferred and appointed as the Settlement Commissioner. Jitendra Dudi, the current Satara District Collector, will take charge as the new Pune District Collector.
Dudi, a junior officer, has been assigned the prestigious Pune Collector post after a downgrading of the rank requirement for the position.
Hailing from Jaipur, Rajasthan, Jitendra Dudi is a 2016-batch IAS officer. He began his career as an administrative officer in Jharkhand and later served as an Assistant Secretary in the Central Government. In 2018, he was deputed to the Maharashtra cadre, where he worked as the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) in Junnar, Pune district. His wife serves as an IPS officer in the police force.
Dudi also served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Sangli Zilla Parishad for over three years. During his tenure, he implemented the Model School initiative, which was later adopted across Maharashtra by the state government. He also introduced the Smart PAC concept to improve rural healthcare systems and focused on ensuring transparency in water supply projects.
Dudi’s appointment as Pune District Collector comes with high expectations due to his innovative and impactful administrative initiatives.
