Maharashtra: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education is all set to publish the results of over 21 lakh students from Class X (SSC) and Class XII (HSC) on the DigiLocker app. These students have been assigned Apaar IDs, which will allow them to access their results digitally and securely.

According to board officials, HSC results are expected to be announced in the first week of May, while SSC results will follow in the second week. This year’s board exams were conducted 10 to 15 days earlier than usual, enabling a faster evaluation process. Teachers began checking papers while the exams were still underway, and all practical and sports merit marks were submitted online, helping the board expedite result preparation.

The board set a deadline of April 21 to finalize sports marks. Since practical scores are also submitted digitally, the state board was able to compile the necessary data swiftly. Teachers across the state cooperated fully, with no boycotts or delays in the paper assessment process. The streamlined coordination with divisional boards, schools, and colleges played a crucial role in adhering to the timelines.

Out of the 31 lakh students who appeared for the SSC and HSC exams this year, the board has received Apaar IDs for 21 lakh students. These students will have their results stored permanently in the DigiLocker app, accessible at any time. Those without Apaar IDs will be able to view their results on the official state board websites.

Sharad Gosavi, Chairman of the State Education Board, noted that Maharashtra is the only state where Apaar IDs have been generated for approximately 87% of students. Of these, 60 to 65% have already been linked with the state board’s system.

“The results for students with Apaar IDs will be permanently available through DigiLocker, allowing for easy access now and in the future,” Gosavi added.

With strong support from educators, parents, and administrative bodies, the board exams were conducted smoothly this year. Incidents of malpractice were minimal, and the overall exam process proceeded efficiently. For the first time, the Maharashtra Board is on track to announce both Class X and XII results by May 15, as previously assured.
