Pune : In a disturbing incident in Pune’s Wagholi area, 39-year-old Roshan David Mandlik has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his mother-in-law and attacking his sister-in-law with a knife. The altercation stemmed from ongoing disputes regarding his mother-in-law’s extended stay at his residence.
Mandlik, who resides on Kesnand Road with his wife, had been experiencing tensions with his mother-in-law, who had been staying with them for several days. On Wednesday, the situation escalated when Mandlik demanded that she leave his house, leading to a physical confrontation. During the altercation, his sister-in-law intervened in an attempt to deescalate the situation. In response, Mandlik allegedly attacked her with a knife, causing serious injuries.
Following the incident, the mother-in-law filed a complaint at the Lonikand police station. Authorities have registered a case against Mandlik and initiated an investigation. The injured sister-in-law is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital.
This incident has caused significant unrest in the Wagholi community, highlighting concerns over domestic violence and the safety of individuals within their own homes. Authorities are urging residents to report any such incidents promptly to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals involved.
