Pune: The Market Yard Police have successfully cracked two theft cases, recovering 478.1 grams of stolen gold worth ₹40.62 lakh. The recovered gold was promptly returned to its rightful owners.

The investigation, spearheaded by Senior Police Inspector Manisha Patil, saw Assistant Police Inspector Ashwini Patil and Woman Police Constable Seema Shendkar working on theft cases registered in 2023 and 2024. Their thorough inquiry led to the identification and arrest of the accused, from whom the stolen gold was seized.

Following the completion of legal procedures, the recovered gold was returned to the complainants at the Pune Police Commissionerate on Wednesday, February 19. The handover was conducted by Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajkumar Shinde. The complainants expressed their deep appreciation for the police’s swift and efficient action.

This successful operation was made possible by the dedicated efforts of Investigation Officer Ashwini Patil and her team, including Police Constables Kiran Jadhav, Kaustubh Jadhav, Pravin Tayde, Anpat, and Nadaf.
