Mumbai : In response to recent controversies and alleged irregularities in recruitment exams, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has taken a major step to strengthen the transparency and security of its selection process. Starting July 15, 2025, all candidates applying for any MPSC examination will be mandatorily required to complete KYC (Know Your Customer) verification before submitting their application forms.

New KYC Rule Now Mandatory Before Every Application

As per a official notification released by MPSC, all applicants must verify their online profile on the MPSC application portal through Aadhaar or other accepted identity documents. The KYC verification process must be completed before filling each application form, failing which the system will block the submission. This has been made compulsory to avoid fake accounts, duplication of profiles, and identity-related disputes during recruitment.

The official notification is now live on MPSC’s website, urging aspirants to update their credentials and verify their profile well in advance. While the KYC can be completed at any time, MPSC has recommended that candidates do so as early as possible to avoid last-minute issues.

Once KYC is completed, only one profile will remain active on the MPSC portal for each verified candidate. In cases where multiple profiles exist under the same identity, the system will automatically deactivate the duplicate accounts.

Another key requirement is that candidates must use a mobile number linked with their Aadhaar card during registration and form submission. This step will ensure secure communication and identity validation throughout the selection process.

The Commission has stated that these measures aim to eliminate malpractices, impersonation, and administrative confusion, thereby reinforcing fairness and accountability in public service recruitment.

Given the significance of this change, aspirants are advised to log in to the MPSC portal and complete the KYC verification process well before July 15 to avoid any disruption in their application for upcoming exams.
