Pune: All Pakistani nationals residing in Maharashtra have been located, and none are missing, assured Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Speaking at the inauguration of the Urban Dialogue program organized by the Pune Municipal Corporation, Fadnavis said, “As the Home Minister, I want to inform you that no Pakistani citizen is untraceable. All of them have been found, and they are in the process of leaving. By tonight or tomorrow morning, all Pakistani citizens will have exited the country.”

Addressing the media, the Chief Minister also touched upon the state’s water situation, mentioning that this year, water storage is better compared to the previous year. “It is not unusual for water storage to decline during April and May. Last year, the overall water storage in state dams was around 32%, while this year it stands at 38%, a 6% increase,” he noted. He clarified that the areas experiencing low water levels are mostly smaller dams and lakes, while major dams still have sufficient reserves.

Speaking about Pune’s urban development, Fadnavis explained that the city’s development plan had been delayed due to pending court proceedings, which led to an extension of its deadline. He also raised concerns about the disfigurement of the city due to unauthorized hoardings and flex banners. “Even if my own flex banners are placed illegally, I have instructed all municipal corporations to remove them,” he asserted.

The Chief Minister praised the Pune Municipal Corporation for setting up the Pune Urban Dialogue platform to plan and discuss key issues related to urban planning, governance, and disaster management. “Through this platform, discussions will be held on the challenges faced by the city, possible solutions, and the government’s role in addressing them. The state government will certainly act upon the roadmap that emerges from these discussions,” Fadnavis added.
