Pune: A candidate has been arrested for cheating during the online examination for the Social Welfare Inspector position and attempting to gain entry to the exam center by using someone else’s admit card. The incident occurred at the Digital Hub in Ramtekdi.
The arrested candidate has been identified as Datta Sadashiv Tengle (resident of Khandnal, Taluka Jath, District Sangli). A complaint was filed by Santosh Prakash Jadhav (49 years old, resident of Solapur Road, Manjari) at Wanwadi Police Station.
According to the police, on Tuesday (March 18), the accused Tengle arrived at the Digital Hub in Ramtekdi to take the Social Welfare Inspector exam. While at the center, he was caught cheating. He was immediately removed from the exam center by the exam supervisor, and a complaint was filed against him at Wanwadi Police Station.
However, on the following day (Wednesday, March 19), the accused Tengle returned to the exam center. He attempted to deceive the staff by presenting someone else’s admit card to gain unauthorized entry. The staff recognized him and prevented him from entering.
Santosh Prakash Jadhav, the center supervisor at Digital Hub in Ramtekdi, filed a complaint with Wanwadi Police. Police have registered a case against Tengle and arrested him.
Police Sub-Inspector Bhosale is conducting further investigation.
