Mumbai: The Maharashtra state government has granted administrative approval for the acquisition of 15 acres of land in Wakad for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. This land will be used for the offices of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Police Circle 2, other related offices, and residential quarters for senior officers. The decision was made possible due to the efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who quickly resolved the matter. The government decision was issued today. This move will not only improve law and order in the city but will also help reduce the strain on the police force.

Considering the growing industrialization in Pimpri-Chinchwad, the increasing population due to migration from across the country, and the resulting pressure on the police system, the strengthening of the police force became crucial. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has been focused on enhancing the police force and took several decisions towards this goal. As part of this initiative, the proposal for acquiring 15 acres of land in Wakad for the police department was brought forward. Today, the state government issued administrative approval for the proposal. This will provide several facilities for the police force and help in strengthening the police system.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has consistently worked towards creating quality infrastructure for the overall development of Pimpri-Chinchwad city. His continuous efforts have transformed the city into a developed urban area. Along with the city’s development, he also took decisions to strengthen law and order by enhancing the police commissionerate. To ensure quick action on this matter, he personally supervised the process, holding meetings at the state government office. Under his guidance, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate had submitted a proposal to the Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) for acquiring land in Wakad. Accordingly, the administrative approval has been granted for acquiring 15 acres of land in Survey Nos. 208 and 209 at commercial rates, for the police department.

This decision will create essential facilities for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Force, improving their efficiency and aiding in crime control. It will also provide better residential facilities for senior police officers. With the city’s growing population, this decision is crucial for maintaining law and order in the area.
