Gold Ornaments Worth ₹1.57 Lakh Stolen from House in Maharshi Nagar
Taking advantage of an unoccupied house in Bhardupari, Maharshi Nagar, an unidentified burglar broke in and stole gold jewelry valued at ₹1.57 lakh from a cupboard. The theft was reported by Dashrath Maruti Bhosale (62), a resident of Maharshi Nagar, who lodged a complaint with the Swargate Police Station. A case has been registered against the unknown perpetrator under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and an investigation is ongoing.
Cash and Jewelry Worth ₹70,000 Stolen in Ambegaon Budruk
In another burglary, an unidentified thief used a duplicate key to enter a locked residence at Kondhare Building, Ambegaon Budruk. The intruder stole gold jewelry worth ₹60,000 along with ₹10,000 in cash from a cupboard. The victim, Lokesh Shivraj Bhandari (37), filed a complaint, leading to a case being registered under various sections of the IPC. Police are conducting further inquiries to identify the suspect.
Youth Duped of ₹4.93 Lakh Through Fake Trading App
A 25-year-old resident of Dhanori, Rishabh Milind Dave, fell victim to a stock trading scam after being contacted via Telegram. The fraudster, posing as a representative of “Kamal Trader Official Bot,” lured him into investing through the Binomo mobile app by promising high returns. Initially, Dave transferred ₹1.995 lakh to a Bank of Baroda account, followed by additional transactions totaling ₹3.92 lakh to various bank accounts. Upon realizing the fraud, he reported the incident to the Vishrantwadi Police, who have launched an investigation.
