Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Nirupam has made sensational claims linking a celebrity-driven drug racket to the alleged murder of Disha Salian. He revealed that Disha’s father, Satish Salian, recently filed a complaint with Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar, making serious allegations against UBT MLA Aaditya Thackeray. Nirupam stated that the complaint has been forwarded to the Malvani police station for an FIR.
At a press conference in Mumbai, Nirupam accused Aaditya Thackeray of playing a key role in the case and stated that he would soon be booked, referring to him as “Hatyaadi Thackeray” (murderer Thackeray). He also claimed that Thackeray had falsely submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court, asserting that the CBI had cleared him. Nirupam clarified that while the CBI investigated Sushant Singh Rajput’s case, Disha Salian’s case was never probed by the agency.
Disha Salian, who was the manager of Sushant Singh Rajput, allegedly died on June 8, 2020. Nirupam reiterated claims that she was gang-raped before being murdered. He pointed to discrepancies in the investigation, including:
A three-day delay in her post-mortem report.
Her body being found 25 feet away from the building.
No visible injuries on her body despite the reported fall.
Her remains being discovered in a naked state.
These inconsistencies, he argued, warrant a thorough reinvestigation into her death.
Nirupam also alleged that Aaditya Thackeray, along with actors Sooraj Pancholi and Dino Morea, is involved in a celebrity drug racket. He claimed that drug supplier Sameer Khan had confessed to the Narcotics Bureau that he provided drugs to Aaditya Thackeray.
Additionally, Nirupam accused the Uddhav Thackeray faction of deliberately amplifying comedian Kunal Kamra’s controversial song to divert attention from the case. He assured that strict action would be taken against Kamra for his remarks against Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
With growing political tensions and new allegations surfacing, the demand for a fresh probe into Disha Salian’s death has gained momentum.
