Nagpur: A horrifying incident has come to light in the Hudkeshwar Police Station area of Nagpur, where a woman was murdered, and her corpse was later subjected to sexual assault.
The crime was discovered in Anand Nagar, within the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar Police Station. Upon finding the woman’s lifeless body, the police sent it for post-mortem examination. The report revealed a shocking detail—the woman had been raped after her murder.
During the investigation, the police traced the accused, identified as Rohit Tekam, who had visited the victim’s house on the day of the incident. It was found that the victim and the accused had known each other for over a year.
Upon being taken into custody and interrogated, the accused confessed to the crime. He revealed that he had demanded sexual favors from the woman, but she refused. Enraged by her rejection, he forcibly assaulted her. When the woman screamed for help, he strangled her to death. Disturbingly, after committing the murder, he proceeded to rape her lifeless body.
The Hudkeshwar police have registered cases of murder and rape against Rohit Tekam .
