Pune: A fire erupted on Monday in the electric meter box of Jadhav Apartment, located in the Mhaske Chawl area of Dhankawadi, leading to the destruction of two parked two-wheelers. Although the blaze caused alarm among residents, fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The fire brigade responded promptly after receiving an emergency call and quickly brought the situation under control. Their swift intervention prevented the flames from spreading to adjacent homes, averting a potential disaster.
Initial reports suggest that the blaze may have been triggered by a short circuit in the meter box, although authorities are still investigating the exact cause.
