Pune: A private passenger bus en route to Kolhapur met with an accident on the Mumbai-Bengaluru Bypass, injuring ten people, including the driver. The incident occurred near Bhulewadi, and the injured were immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment.
According to police reports, the bus was traveling at high speed when the driver, Sadanand Mahadev Khot (30), a resident of Shivnakwadi, Tal. Shirol, Dist. Kolhapur, lost control and crashed into a container. Following the accident, a case was registered against the driver at Ambegaon Police Station, based on a complaint filed by Vishwatej Abhimanyu Jadhav (23), a resident of Hadapsar.
Upon receiving the alert, police personnel reached the scene and coordinated rescue efforts. The injured passengers and the driver were rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Police Constable P.N. Kamble is currently investigating the case to determine the exact cause of the accident.
