The Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) water supply department has announced a planned water cut in several areas of South Pune on Thursday, June 12, 2025. This temporary disruption is necessary to carry out essential maintenance and pipeline connection work at Taware Chowk.
According to PMC officials, the project involves linking newly installed pipelines to the main distribution line and fitting valves at various water tanks managed by the Barge Water Purification Center. Additionally, adjustments are being made to improve water distribution in localities served by the Bhama Askhed scheme.
As a result of this work, water supply will be completely halted on June 12 in the affected zones. Residents may also experience reduced water pressure on the morning of Friday, June 13. The PMC has urged citizens to store sufficient water in advance and extend their cooperation during this time.
