Pune: A shocking incident took place in Kharabwadi on February 25, when six workers assaulted a company manager and damaged his car. Five of the workers have been arrested, and a case has been registered against one more individual.
The arrested workers have been identified as Gaurav Annu Patel (21) and Ajay Ram Sushil Patel (22) from Madhya Pradesh, Sandeep Ashok Sonkar (23) and Vikas Rammilan Sonkar (19) from Uttar Pradesh, and Harshad Vilas Chaudhary (28) from Kharpudi Budruk, Khed.
The victim, Kulkarni, works as a quality manager at Bharat Techno Plast Company. On the evening of February 25, at around 7 PM, Kulkarni was on his way home when the accused stopped his car after a short distance from the company.
They verbally abused him before damaging the vehicle by breaking its windows. The attackers then physically assaulted Kulkarni with a rod and threw a beer bottle at the car, causing widespread panic in the area.
The police have registered a case against Rohit Patel in connection with the incident and are continuing their investigation into the matter.
