Pune : In a disturbing incident near Sinhagad College, a 21-year-old man allegedly shot his friend following an argument while playing a mobile game. The incident occurred on Wednesday night (January 15) at approximately 9:30 PM in an open area.
According to police, three youths, including a minor, were engaged in a mobile game when playful teasing escalated into a heated argument. The accused, identified as Nilesh Santosh Jadhav (21), reportedly pointed a country-made pistol at his friend, Karan Ghazalmal, and fired. The bullet grazed Karan’s shoulder, causing minor injuries.
The case was initially registered with the Sinhagad Road Police Station, and the suspect was later apprehended by the Bharati Vidyapeeth police. Sub-Inspector Nilesh Mokashi, leading the investigation, revealed that Jadhav is unemployed and was in possession of an illegal country-made firearm.
The injured youth, Karan Ghazalmal, works as a delivery boy, while the minor, a school dropout, assists him in his job.
Jadhav has been remanded to police custody for three days as investigations continue.
