Pune: In a shocking incident, a 14-year-old boy named Kissan Venkat Renuke sustained severe injuries after being viciously assaulted by four youths, including two minors, following a trivial argument. The incident occurred when the boy allegedly ignored their request to wait for them.

The brutal attack left Renuke with multiple injuries, including four broken teeth and facial wounds that required 15 stitches and surgical intervention. He is currently receiving treatment at Sassoon General Hospital.

The matter came to light when his mother, Chandrakala Renuke (45), a small business owner from Nimbalkarwadi, lodged a complaint at the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station. Following her complaint, authorities registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, including provisions related to grievous hurt, voluntary injury, and disturbing public peace.

Police have detained two minors in connection with the incident, while the remaining two suspects are still on the run. Investigators revealed that the victim and the accused minors are from the same neighborhood. The altercation reportedly began after the victim declined to wait when called by the group. Enraged by this, the four allegedly launched a violent assault using sharp weapons.

Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Bhosale is leading the investigation. Authorities are working to apprehend the absconding suspects as further inquiries continue.
