The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of the district Ajit Pawar, Union Minister of State for Cooperation Muralidhar Mohol, Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, Minister of State for Urban Development Madhuri Misal, Members of Parliament Sunetra Pawar and Sunil Tatkare, MLAs Amit Gorakhe, Yogesh Tilekar, Vijay Shivtare, Sunil Kamble, Siddharth Shirole, Sunil Shelke, Hemant Rasane, State Women’s Commission Chairperson Rupali Chakankar, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, District Collector Jitendra Dudi, Pune-based businessman Puneet Balan, and other dignitaries.
Importance of Law Enforcement in Pune

CM Fadnavis emphasized that Pune is one of Maharashtra’s most significant cities, serving as a hub for industrial production and technology. Given its international relevance, maintaining law and order as well as ensuring adherence to traffic regulations is crucial. He stated that Pune Police are committed to delivering justice, ensuring criminals face appropriate punishment, and providing excellent service to the public. He acknowledged the force’s swift response in solving major crimes and emphasized that response times should be further reduced in the future. He added that police presence should be visible and reassuring to the citizens.

To improve law enforcement efficiency, the state has developed one of the best cyber platforms in the country. The central government has allocated the helpline number ‘1945’ for Maharashtra, enabling swift action within 24 hours of complaints being lodged. CM Fadnavis also highlighted that the government is working on initiatives to improve the well-being of police personnel, including better healthcare and housing facilities.
Recognizing the Efforts of Police Personnel

He commended the police for their dedication, especially during festivals when they remain on duty to ensure public safety while staying away from their families. To acknowledge their hard work, the Pune Police Commissionerate has organized the ‘Tarang’ event as a festival for police personnel. CM Fadnavis congratulated officers and staff for their commitment to public safety and expressed hope that they would continue their exceptional service in the future.
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar’s Address
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar stressed the importance of maintaining law and order, communal harmony, and resolving traffic congestion in the city.
