Pune: Several fraudulent activities and thefts have been reported in different parts of the city, prompting investigations by various police stations, including Kondhwa, Kalepadal, Khadki, and Fursungi.

A financial fraud amounting to ₹39,26,800 was uncovered when a flat was illegally possessed and later sold without any payment. A 30-year-old complainant reported the incident at Kondhwa police station, identifying Virendra Singh Jadhwarav, Shivteja Ramdas Bibwe, and Sachin Balkrishna Sarkale as the accused.

They also allegedly used casteist slurs against him. The case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Atrocities Act, with Assistant Police Inspector Vikas Babar leading the investigation.

A ₹19.50 lakh fraud was reported in the Mohammadwadi area on NIBM Road. Yankit Ghanshyam Khatri (37) from Undri lodged a complaint at Kalepadal police station against Hasib Tasreef Khan and Salman Tasreef Khan, both residents of Mohammadwadi.

The duo allegedly convinced Khatri to invest ₹15 lakh in a business, in addition to taking ₹4.50 lakh for his mother’s house renovation. When Khatri demanded his money back, they allegedly threatened him and refused repayment. Assistant Police Inspector Pravin Abdagire is investigating the case.

A 25-year-old man, Aditya Suresh Sanap, was deceived by an unidentified individual who asked for a ride and then fled with his motorcycle near the Wakdevadi bus stand on February 16 at 10 AM. A case has been registered at the Khadki police station, with Police Naik Shivsharan handling the investigation.

In another case, two fraudsters posing as police officers tricked an elderly woman into handing over ₹2.70 lakh worth of gold jewelry in Kondhwa. The victim, Mainavati Tanaji Kode (60), was approached near Gokulnagar Chowk on February 17. A complaint was filed at Kondhwa police station, and Assistant Police Inspector Rakesh Jadhav is investigating the matter.

A ₹10 lakh financial fraud was reported in Kalepadal. Rahul Sukdev Kale (34) lodged a complaint against Nitin Bhaskar Awghade (34), who took the amount for a flat purchase but never returned the money. Assistant Police Inspector Pravin Abdagire is handling the investigation.

A massive theft of electrical scrap worth ₹40 lakh occurred at a warehouse in Uruli Devachi on February 7 around 3 AM. The thieves broke into the warehouse by removing a metal sheet from the wall. Nitin Jayantilal Kothari (51), a businessman from Market Yard, filed a complaint at the Fursungi police station. Police Sub-

Inspector Vishnu Deshmukh is investigating the case.
Authorities are actively pursuing leads in all cases and urging residents to remain cautious and report any suspicious activity.
