Pune: A tragic accident occurred in Hinjewadi, Pune, early this morning when a tempo carrying company workers caught fire, resulting in the death of four employees. The incident took place around 7 AM, completely gutting the vehicle.
The tempo belonged to Vyoma Graphics and was transporting a total of 12 employees. The fire reportedly started under the driver’s seat in Hinjewadi Phase 1. As soon as the fire broke out, the driver and a few front-seat passengers managed to escape. However, the rear door failed to open, trapping four workers inside, leading to their death.
Two individuals, including the driver, sustained injuries, with the driver’s condition being critical. Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire.
